Pan American Power is celebrating its 20th Anniversary year in business buying and selling power and power generation type equipment. We are a locally owned business located in Covington, Louisiana, off of Highway 25, in St. Tammany Parish.

Pan American opened its doors in February 1987 with the mission to provide our worldwide customers with the finest rebuilt, new, and used Caterpillar Engines and Generator Sets for Marine and Industrial applications. We have since expanded our business specialty to provide the best in sales and service for the Residential and Commercial Standby Generator set markets locally, nationally and internationally. We are an authorized sales and servicing dealer for Generac, Guardian, Eaton, and Briggs & Stratton. We are also a home standby dealer for Kohler Power Systems. In addition to warranty work for most generator makes, we also offer yearly, semi-annual, and quarterly maintenance agreements to insure that your generator keeps working properly.

Caterpillar engines, generator sets and marine transmissions are our specialty. In our 12,500 square foot facility we sell, service and rebuild this equipment to our customers’ demanding specifications. We also maintain a substantial inventory of new, used and rebuilt parts for both the current and older production Caterpillar equipment. All rebuilt equipment is fully functionally tested using either an engine dynamometer or resistive load bank prior to delivery ensuring proper operation upon delivery. Portable load bank testing is also available.
